Educational Background & Qualifications

Peggy Hong graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, earning a Bachelor's degree with a major in piano.
She also holds performance diplomas from ABRSM and AMEB, reflecting a strong foundation in classical piano performance and musicianship.

Performance & Accompaniment Achievements

In addition to her academic accomplishments, Peggy was awarded Second Place in the Shanghai and Hong Kong Youth Piano Competition, demonstrating her high level of performance skill.

She has extensive experience as an accompanist, having worked for many years with:

  • The Australian Chinese Community Choir (ACC Choir)

  • The Key Signature Choir

Notably, under her accompaniment, the ACC Choir won First Prize at the 4th International Choral Music Festival.

Teaching Experience & Approach

With over 20 years of teaching and accompaniment experience, Peggy has taught students of all ages — from young children to adults and seniors.

Her teaching specializes in preparing students for AMEB and ABRSM piano and theory examinations, and she actively encourages them to participate in public piano competitions to gain performance experience.
Many of her students have achieved outstanding results under her guidance.
