Meiyi Song began studying piano at the age of six and violin at the age of eight. In 2014, she was admitted to the Affiliated Middle School of the Zhejiang Vocational Art Academy, where she studied violin under the guidance of Hou Qiancao, a graduate of the Detmold National Conservatory of Music in Germany. That same year, she also began formal studies in viola with Mr. Zhiyuan Cai, a respected violist and faculty member of the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra. Under his mentorship, she built a strong technical foundation and developed a deep understanding of both orchestral and solo viola performance.

In 2019, Meiyi was accepted into the Kazan State Conservatory of Music in Russia to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance. She studied violin under Associate Professor Lillia Zadululina Galemianova and Professor Natalia Frensunova, graduating with full marks. During her time there, she also continued her piano studies for four years to further strengthen her musicianship.

Meiyi has extensive experience as both a soloist and ensemble musician. She has participated in numerous commercial performances, including live concerts, corporate events, and studio recordings. Her versatility across violin and viola has enabled her to perform in a wide range of musical settings, from chamber ensembles to full orchestras.

In 2024, she served as the violin section instructor for the Longwan Youth Symphony Orchestra in Wenzhou, China. The following year, she performed as First Violin in the Wenzhou University Symphony Orchestra's New Year’s Concert.

In addition to her performing career, Meiyi is deeply committed to music education. She has taught students of various ages and skill levels in both violin and viola. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes technical precision, expressive playing, and student-centered learning. She believes in cultivating each student's enthusiasm for music through structured yet engaging lessons, tailored to individual goals and abilities. Her aim is to inspire a lifelong love for music while helping students build solid foundational skills and artistic confidence.
