Matthew is an accomplished drum educator with over ten years of teaching experience, working across a wide spectrum of students from young beginners to advanced adult musicians. His teaching is grounded in a refined balance of technical precision, musicality, and individual artistic development.

He holds a Bachelor of Music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he was recognised with an Encore nomination in 2018 for both Music 2 and Music Extension, reflecting a high standard of performance and musicianship.

As a performer, Matthew has collaborated with leading international artists including James Morrison and Dennis DiBlasio through the Kirrawee High School Jazz Orchestra, gaining extensive ensemble and stage experience.

Matthew possesses a comprehensive understanding of both the Trinity syllabus and the Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) framework, and is adept at guiding students through structured examination pathways while fostering long-term artistic growth.
