Brendan Tan is an internationally acclaimed drummer, producer, songwriter, and educator based in Sydney, Australia. With over a decade of experience in the music industry, Brendan has earned a distinguished reputation as one of Australia’s most versatile and accomplished drummers, equally at home on the world’s largest stages and in the studio.
Brendan is a two-time Grammy Award nominee for his contributions to Youth Revival (2016) and All Of My Best Friends (2020), both nominated in the category of Best Contemporary Christian Music Album. His roles in these projects spanned musician, producer, songwriter, and audio engineer, highlighting his multifaceted expertise.
He has toured and recorded with Tones and I, serving as her primary touring drummer since 2022. His high-profile performances include:

Beyond live performance, Brendan served as a studio engineer at Epi Studios from 2017 to 2022, working on a wide range of professional recordings across genres. As an educator, Brendan brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for teaching. He has taught both one-on-one and group lessons across all age levels, from beginner to advanced, including students at Pacific Hills Christian School (OneMaker Academy). He has managed up to 30 students simultaneously and regularly conducts masterclasses for advanced drummers within Sydney’s professional circuit.
