Mr. Daniel Raymond

Drum Teacher

Daniel Raymond is an educator, multi-instrumentalist, and professional artist from Sydney.

Daniel’s training began at 8 years of age having studied with Alistair Wallis for a decade before he began studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. During this formative period his interest in music grew as he studied piano with Daniel Yu.

At the Conservatorium, his technical understanding and artistic approach have been shaped through close tertiary study alongside Sydney’s leading instrumentalists and innovators including drummers Simon Barker, Chloe Kim, Alex Inman-Hislop, percussionist/composer Bree Van Reyk, and bassist-guitarist Cameron Undy.

As an educator, Daniel’s knowledge in modern drum set mechanics, performance, and pedagogy provides students with the ability to perform contemporary repertoire and understand its foundational framework.

As a pianist, composer, and vocal student, Daniel’s multi-instrumental foundation and wide interest in music and the arts allows him to provide a well-rounded and holistic perspective on music education.
